Wiedner, 77, of Somerset, formerly of Berlin RD, died Feb. 3, 2001, in Somerset Hospital. Born May 1, 1923, in Meyersdale, a daughter of William Henry and Emma (Felker) Deist. Preceded in death by parents, brother Glenn, and a son Kenneth in 1966. Survived by these children, Dorothy, married to Donald Arden of Somerset and Samuel F. Jr., married to the former Carol McGuire, of Berlin; grandchildren Donald Arden Jr., Denise Tokar, Doug Arden, Brian, Daniel, Samuel III and Dwayne Wiedner, and Jackie Cramer; and 8 grandchildren; also step-sisters, Ruth McNelly, Rockwood and Edna Deist and Joan Smith, both of Meyersdale. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glen Savage, and the Valley Grange. She was active at the Somerset Senior Center and she enjoyed making quilts and pies for her family. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. John F. Jenista officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. There will be no viewing at the church.
