Wiland, 86, of RD 2, Grantsville, Md., died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1987, in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born in Romney, W.Va., on Aug. 20, 1900, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Bowman) Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Wiland, on Dec. 16, 1975. She was a member of the former New Germany Methodist Church. Surviving are three sons, James Wiland, Cumberland, Md.; Paul Wiland and Norman Wiland, both of Frostburg, Md.; four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Rounds, Accident, Md.; Mrs. Helena Crowe, Finzel, Md.; Mrs. Pearl Wampler, Eckhart, Md.; Mrs. Shirley Winner, Frostburg, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Martin, Spencer, W.Va.; Mrs. Mary Parrish, Keyser, W.Va.; 37 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. Services were conducted in Emmanuel United Methodist Church Tuesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Powell A. Hall and the Rev. J. Richard Greene. Interment, New Germany Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers, all grandsons, were Michael Smith, William Wiland, Dennis Rounds, Terry Rounds, Dean Wiland and David Wiland.
