Born Sept. 9, 1932, in Champion, son of the late Chester W. and Mary E. (Kalp) Wilders. Survived by his wife, the former Laura Jane Sullivan; and these stepchildren: Mrs. Abe (Deloris) Shumaker and Mrs. George (Georgia) Marple; both of Somerset RD 8; Homer E. Gardner and Barry W. Gardner, both of Annapolis, Md.; Mrs. Francis (Kay) Moravecz, Hollsopple, RD 1; Mrs. Blaine (Marjie) Mayhugh, Meyersdale; and Mrs. Robert (Gail) Sipe, Somerset RD 1; 22 step grandchildren and 15 step great-grandchildren. Brother of: Mrs. Earl (Hilda) Sipe and Mrs. Merle (Laura Edith) Wensel, both of Jones Mills; and Mrs. William (Betty Lou) Morgan, Emporium, Pa. Owner and operator of Wilders Body Shop, Altoona. Member of Somerset Church of God, V.F.W. Post 554, American Legion Post 181 and Laurel Ridge Sportsmen's Association. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Somerset Church of God, with the Rev. David N. Lykens and the Rev. N.D. Herring officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the W. Pa.
