Wiley, 82, of RD 2, Grantsville, Md., died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1987 at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born April 8, 1905 at Farmington, a daughter of the late Wilbur E. and Sarah (McLaughlin) Close. She was a member of the Jennings United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert D. Wiley, on Feb. 24, 1957. She is survived by three sons, Harold Wiley, Grantsville, Md.; Marvin Wiley, Cumberland, Md.; and Albert Wiley Jr., Baltimore, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Sipple, Grantsville, Md.; and Mrs. Helen Holliday, Inglewood, Fla.; one brother, Thomas Close, Markleysburg; one sister, Mrs. Florence Willes, Markleysburg; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Newman Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joseph Upole officiating. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lonnie Broadwater, Dayton Broadwater, Rodney Meyers, Randall Wiley, Morris Resh, and David Beachy. The Republic, December 31, 1987 [W1198]
