    Alverta C. Wilhelm, 79, of Listonburg, died Aug. 5, 1997 at the
  Libby Nursing Home in Richmond Va.  Born Jan. 31, 1918 in Accident,
  Md., daughter of the late Henry and Effie (Georg) Bach.  Preceded in
  death by her husband, Arthur Samuel Wilhelm.  Survived by a daughter,
  Barbara Mathias of Richmond, Va.; two grandchildren, Krista Lynn
  Mathias of Arlington, Va.; and Michael Byard of Rochester, N.Y.; a
  brother, Owen Bach of Accident, Md.; and three sister: Florence
  Denniker and Orpha Miller of Accident, Md.; and Ora Young of
  Grantsville, Md.  Member of Trinity United Methodist Church of
  Listonburg.  Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at
  Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence where services will be held at 1
  p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Harry C. Sherry officiating.  Interment,
  Addison Cemetery.
