    Arthur Samuel Wilhelm, 87, of Listonburg, died Sept. 1, 1996 at
  Richmond Memorial Hospital, Richmond, Va.  Born March 5, 1909 in
  Listonburg.  Son of the late Jacob and Ida (Wilburn) Wilhelm. 
  Survived by wife, the former Alverta Bach; a daughter, Barbara,
  married to Leonard Mathias Jr., of Richmond, Va.; and two
  grandchildren, Michael Byard of Richmond and Krista Lynn Mathias, of
  Arlington, Va.  Preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.  A
  lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Listonburg. 
  Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at the
  Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held at 11
  a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Mark Blair officiating.  Interment,
  Addison Cemetery.
