Wilhelm, 76, Paw Paw, W.Va., formerly of Grantsville, Maryland, died October 2, 1984 at the War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Born in Blaine, W.Va., he was a son of the late Joseph H. Wilhelm and Ella M. (Wagner) Wilhelm. He was a retired painter. He is survived by six sons: Edison Wilhelm, Severn, Md.; Paul Wilhelm, Swanton, Md.; Gary Wilhelm, Berlin; John Wilhelm, Martinsburg, W.Va.; Donald Wilhelm, Lawrence, Miss.; James Wilhelm, Cumberland, Md.; five daughters: Mrs. Shirley Bittinger, Swanton; Mrs. Linda Warnick, Mrs. Catherine Carney, Mrs. Edith Nair, and Mrs. Dorothy Kerns, all of Cumberland Md.; one brother, Lester Wilhelm, Blaine; a half brother, George Brabson, Grantsville, Md.; and 19 grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where services were conducted Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. DeWayne Johnson officiating. Interment, I.O.O.F.
