Wilhelm, Jr., 63, of Somerset, died May 1, 1987 at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Oct. 30, 1923 in Somerset, the son of Mason and Ada (Miller) Wilhelm Sr. Also preceded in death by son, John, and a sister, Mary. Survived by wife, the former Viola Morocco; brother of: Mrs. Neil (Thelma) Fontyn of Silver Springs, Md.; Mrs. Franck (Lois) Pucci of Somerset RD 7; Karl K. of Painted Post, N.Y.; Ray W. of Lady Lake, Fla.; also a number of nieces and nephews. He was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ; a past president of Somerset Sportsmen and Rifle Association; a trustee of the Kennells Mills Sportsmen's Club; the F.O.E. Aerie 1801; a retired car foreman for B & O Railroad; a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Car Men; a veteran of W.W. II; and a Master Sergeant in the Korean Conflict, member of the 75th Division Veterans Association and a member of the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge. He received the Bronze Star for action in the Battle of the Bulge. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 3:30-9 p.m. Sunday in the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m., the Rev. Monsignor Samuel Tomaselli officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Rosary services 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
