Will, 82, of Berlin, died Jan. 2, 2000, at UPMC Bedford Memorial. Born May 26, 1917, in Allegheny Township son of the late Gregory A. and Clara (Fisher) Will. He was the widower of Doris A. (Hillegas) Will who preceded him in death on Feb. 21, 1998. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, A. Loren, Gregory, Joseph, and a half-brother, Cletus Fisher. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survived by three nieces and four nephews. He retired from the New Baltimore Post Office as the Postmaster where he was employed for 31 years. Former Allegheny Township Supervisor and former employee of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. He was a member St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore. Served in World War II as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge. He was wounded twice, the second time he was captured by the Germans and listed as Missing in Action. He was a lifetime member of the Military Order of The Purple Heart Chapter 992, Forbes Road, a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 117 of Berlin. Member of the Last Man's Club, Berlin. He was a 53-year member of VFW Post 554 and American Legion Post 181 of Somerset, a member of the 28th Division Heritage Association in Harrisburg, member of 112th Infantry Regiment, Erie, and Co. A., Corry, Pa. Member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1861, Somerset. Member of Somerset County Postmasters Association and a member of the New Baltimore Sportsman Club where he was past president. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where vigil service for the deceased will be at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Begly Celebrant. Interment at St. John's Cemetery, New Baltimore. Daily American, January 4, 2000 [W1254]
