"Willie" Willard C. "Willie" Will, 71, Central City, entered into the kingdom of God March 12, 2008, at home with his family and friends by his side. Born Feb. 8, 1937, in Shade Township, the only child of the late Willard J. and Mary (Huston) Will. Married to his high school sweetheart, Deanna Nizinski, June 11, 1960, for 47 wonderful years. Father of two loving children, Nicki, married to Richard Mowery, Sugarloaf Key, Fla., and Thaddeus, married to Judy Clark, Shade Township. He waited for 67 years for his two grandsons and was "Pappy" to Gavin and Connor. He grew up a farm boy and became a self-made man. Graduated from Shade High School in 1955 and was involved with his parents in dairy farming. Willie became involved with construction at Indian Lake and worked with Arnold Palmer constructing the Indian Lake Golf Course. In 1970 Willie started W.W. Coal Co. and with his loyal employees worked for 16 years mining coal in Shade Township. He retired to Florida in 1986. Retirement did not last as he began Working for Harper Brothers as a superintendent for three years. He came back home to Shade Township and worked for RCC as site manager for the construction of the landfill and then worked as a foremen for Cooney Brothers Coal. In 1997 he fulfilled one of his dreams with the help of his family and built Thunder Valley Raceway. Willie had a dance band called the Aristocrats and played tenor saxophone and flute. Willie was a member of the 876 Engineer Battalion of the Army National Guard. Was a member of the Pennsylvania Tractor Pullers Association and a champion competitor and president for many years. Willie was also a delegate to the National Tractor Pullers Association. Willie had his beloved "Tinker Toy" Pulling Team. Willie belonged to the Knights of Columbus, the Shade Lions Club, and Holy Name Society of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and was a member of our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church and the former St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Willie always had a goal he aimed for, and he fulfilled them. He loved God, his family and he fulfilled his dreams. He will be greatly missed and will be remembered as a man that never said a mean word about anyone. Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be con- celebrated 2 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady Queen of Angels Chapel with the Rev. Father Larry Lacovic. Committal Shade Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family asks contributions be made to either the Shade Church Fund or the St. John the Baptist Cemetery Fund, both in care of the Funeral Home. Daily American, March 14, 2008
