Willaman, 61, 102 Mellon Ave., Ligonier, died Sunday, July 4, 1982, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Dec. 23, 1920, in Greenville, a son of the late Irvin J. and Mary (Hecker) Willaman. He was a member and elder of the Covenant United Presbyterian Church, Ligonier, a graduate of Westminster College with a B.A. in music. He received a master's degree from the University of Michigan, was a World War II veteran, and the music director at the Ligonier Valley Senior High School from 1947 until his retirement in 1981. Choir director at Covenant United Presbyterian Church for a number of years and director of Heritage United Methodist Choir for 17 years. He was a member of Ligonier Country Club, Rotary Club, and Ligonier Lodge No. 331, F and AM. Survived by his wife, Treatice (Ankney), formerly of Somerset; one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Becky) Fisher, St. Leonard, Md.; one grandson; one brother, Clair, Greenville; and one sister, Mrs. Lucille Ross, Warren, Ohio. Family will receive friends at the Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Bell and E. Church St., Ligonier, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Covenant United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John J. McClure officiating. Interment, Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
