  ALVIN G. WILLIAMS
  
  Alvin G. Williams, 89, of Somerset, passed on Jan. 22, 2004, at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born April 25, 1914, in Windber he is the son of
  the late William R. and Ida Mae (Bretzman) Williams.  He is preceded
  in death by his parents; brothers, William E., Raymond and Blair
  Williams and sister Vera Grace, Hazel Fisher and Zola Ort.  He is
  survived by his wife of 62 years, Eleanor (Steinkirchner) Williams;
  sons, Ronald A. married to Patricia (Maurer) of Grand Rapids, Mich.
  and Thomas F. and good friend Lori Drylie, of Greensburg;
  grandchildren, Christopher williams, Rachel Kaiserlian and Brenton
  Williams; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Lily and Eva Kaiserlian and
  Caitlyn Andrews.  He was a retired welder with 35 years of experience
  at Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown.  He then spent many years at the
  Somerset County Vocational Technical School as a welding instructor.
  Friends are invited from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Miller
  Funeral Home, Somerset where a service will be held at 11 a.m.
  Monday, Monsignor Samuel Tomaselli officiating.  Interment at Somerset
  County Memorial Park.
