  Arthur Jay Williams, 87, of Stoystown RD (Ferrellton) died July 13,
  1999, at home.  Born Nov. 20, 1911, in Boswell.  Son of David J. and
  Rachel (Hayes) Williams.  Preceded in death by parents; son, Donald
  A.; brothers: Bill, Robert, David, Ralph and Kenneth; sisters: Ethel
  LaRue, Maude Williams, Jennie Kinsey; Sarah Liston and Verna Sell. 
  Survived by wife of 62 years, the former Ethel Marie Rechner;
  daughter, Judith Ann, married to Joseph L. DeBlase, and son, Larry
  W., married to former Joyce E. Blough, both of Boswell; also 8
  grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Brother of Raymond,
  Johnstown; Alice Morgan, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Loretta Linden,
  Toledo, Ohio; also daughter-in-law, Suella (Gober) Williams,
  Kittanning.  Member of Laurel Mountain Grace Brethren Church,
  Jennerstown, and UMWA Local 1742.  Employed in coal industry for 27
  years.  Retired from Somerset State Hospital after 15 years as
  fireman in the boiler plant.  Served on the former Jenner-Ferrellton
  Water Authority.  Manager of Boswell Area Lions Little League for 6
  years.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the
  Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell.  Viewing also from 10
  a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at Arthur's church, Rev.
  Alan W. Hess and Rev. Max DeArmey officiating.  Interment, Jenner
  Crossroads Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Laurel
  Mountain Grace Brethren Church, 7398 Somerset Pike, Boswell, Pa.
