    Charles Williams, 72, Boswell RD 1, died unexpectedly Feb. 27,
  1978, at home.  Born June 25, 1905, in Locust Gap, Pa, son of William
  and Mary (Ferne) Williams.  Preceded in death by parents; wife, the
  former Mildred M. Holsopple, who died Feb. 17, 1958; son, Walter F.
  "Zeke," who died Jan. 6, 1973; sisters: Margaret and Credwin, and
  brothers: Steve, Emilyn and William.  Survived by these children:
  Richard H., married to former Charlotte Marsh, Stoystown RD 1;
  Charles Lowell, married to former Shirley Putman, Friedens RD 1;
  William J., married to former Betty Vinosky, 372 Fairfield Ave.,
  Johnstown; Betty Ann, wife of Robert Winters, Ligonier; Robert I.,
  married to former Brenda Starkey, Alexandria, Va.; Gary W., married
  to former Downa Armagost, Hooversville RD 1; James W., married to
  former Sharon Monteith, Vienna, Va.; and Connie, wife of Thomas
  Magdic, Rector.  Also, 19 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 7
  step-grandchildren.  Brother of Mrs. Gladys Tarr of Cabot, Pa.; Seth
  of Jerome; and Mrs. Ginny Hermon, Berlin.  Member of Jenner Rod and
  Gun Club, Polish Falcons of Jerome, Oldtimers Baseball Association,
  Boswell American Legion, Greater Ferndale Sportsmen's Club, St. Clair
  Treemont Club and New Baltimore Sportsmen's Club.  Retired employee of
  Bethleham Steel Corporation, general yard department, Johnstown
  plant.  Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main
  St., Boswell, where service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev.
  Paul P. Weber, pastor of the First Christian Church, Somerset,
  officiating.  Interment, Jenner-Crossroads Cemetery.
