The young man became ill last Easter and only partially recovered his health. The father of the deceased was killed by being electrocuted 7 years ago while in the employ of the P. & M. Trolley Company. Three years ago, his widow with two sons and two daughters moved to Akron. The names of the survivors of the immediate family are the mother, Mrs. Alice Williams, Misses Lorena, and Anna, and Ward. The remains arrived here on No. 16 train Tuesday and were taken in charge by Undertaker Price, who conveyed them to the home of Mrs. Lorena Reitz in Salisbury where on Wednesday at 10 a. m. funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hetrick, following which interment was made in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Meyersdale Commercial, Oct. 26, 1916 --- DEATH OF FORMER SALISBURY BOY - On Sunday Oct. 22 Howard Williams, second son of Mrs. Alice Williams died at his home in Akron, Ohio after a lingering illness which began in Feb. He was aged 20 years, 8 months and 12 days. He is survived by his mother, his brother Ward and two sisters, Misses Lorena and Almyra. Many beautiful floral tributes express the regard in which he was held by his friends. A short service was held at his home then held on Wednesday morning 10:00 at the home of Mrs. Williams' sister Mrs. Lorena Reitz. Interment was made in the cemetery beside the resting place of his father. Those here from a distance to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. O. Smith of Meyersdale, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Williams and Mr. and Mrs. William Williams and son Allen of Johnstown, Dr. Victor Miller and the mother, brother and sisters of the deceased.
