All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ MILDRED BILLS WILLIAMS Mrs. Mildred (Bills) Williams, 65, a former well-known school teacher of Somerset County, died at 5:30 o'clock last Saturday morning at Pine Lodge, between Chambersburg and Gettysburg, from embolism. She had been bedfast since January 9. Mrs. Williams was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bills, both deceased. Her father was a prominent dentist in Somerset for many years. She was one of the best-known school teachers in Somerset County, having taught for 35 years in Ursina, Addison and Somerset. Surviving are her husband, Charles M. Williams, and a brother, Will Bills of Somerset. Funeral services were conducted at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning in the Somerset Presbyterian Church by the pastor of the Mercersburg Presbyterian Church, assisted by Rev. B. W. Kossack, pastor of the Somerset Presbyterian Church. Interment was made in the Husband Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, February 29, 1940
