(Doc) Williams, 89, McHenry, Md. died Oct. 11, 1978 in Garrett County Memorial Hospital. Born in Gormania, W. Va., he was a son of the late Mortimer G. Williams and Elizabeth J. (Chisholm) Williams. Operator of the Esso Service Station in Gormania for 45 years, he was an Army veteran of World War I, life member of Proctor-Kildow Post 71, American Legion and a former member of the Bayard Lions Club. Surviving are his widow, Annie E. (Schwartz) Williams, Grantsville, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Deal, McHenry, Md.; a son, Dr. Donald F. Williams, Mt. Morris, Pa.; five sisters, Mrs. May Browning, Oakland, Md.; Mrs. Willa W. Evans, Washington; Mrs. Sally W. Nutter, Blackwood, N.J.; Mrs. Fronie King, Silver Spring, Md.; Mrs. Evelyn W. Bowman, Harrisonburg, Va.; two brothers, J.H. Williams, Oakland, Md.; Mack M. Williams, Washington; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one stepgrandchild. Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home where services were conducted with the Rev. Earl Baker and the Rev. Ellis Harvey officiating. Interment, Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
