    Verna H. Nelson Williams, 70, Springfield, Va., died May 24,
  1995.  Born Jan. 10, 1925.  Beloved mother of Vernon "Skip", married
  to the former Debbie L. Balya, Stoystown; Gregory, married to the
  former Carol Stopa, Clinton, Md. and Mark, married to the former
  Sharon Shaffer, Central City.  Also five grandchildren: Patti Jo and
  Julie Nelson, Stoystown; Kristin Nelson, Orlando, Fla.; Scott and
  Mark Nelson, Central City.  Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and
  7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Cunningham Funeral Home at the corner of Cameron
  and North Alfred, Alexandria, Va.  Funeral services will be held at 11
  a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations can
  be made in her name to Hospice of Northern Virginia, 6400 Arlington
  Blvd., Suite 1000, Falls Church, Va. 22042.
