Born July 27, 1914 in Boswell. Son of Gomer Sr. and Janet (Fyfe) Williams. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Dora Messinger who died June 12, 1989, three brothers, Gomer Jr., Dewey and William Williams, and sister Margaret Williams. Survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Member of First Christian Church. A U.S. Army Veteran of W.W. II. He was the Clerk of Courts of Common Pleas of Somerset County from 1960 to 1976 and a member of the Somerset County Board of Appeals and Revision of Taxes. He was past commander American Legion Post 461, Boswell and past chairman of the Somerset County Republican Party. No viewing or visitation. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, with Pastor Daniel F. Nicksich officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery.
