Williams, Railroad Magnate, Dead William H. Williams, 57, of New York, who was elected president of the Wabash Railroad September 10, died in St. Louis, Mo., Wednesday, of a heart attack. He was a son of the late H. H. Williams of Meyersdale and frequently visited his father during the latter's long residence here. He was born in Athens, O., and was educated in the public schools of Toledo and the Beaver Valley Pen Art Hall of Beaver Falls, Pa. He began his railroad career in 1890 with the Pennsylvania Railroad. He held various positions with that company and other railroads until 1901 when he became assistant secretary of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. In 1905 he was made manager of the Chamber of Commerce of Pittsburgh, Pa., and a few years later returned to railroad work. Meyersdale Republican, October 15, 1931
