WILLIAMS, William R. "Bill"

William R. "Bill" Williams, 77, Stoystown, died May 21, 2006, at V.A. Medical 
Center, Altoona. Born April 17, 1929, in Johnstown, son of the late Gomer Jr. 
and Ruth Alta (Berkebile) Williams. Survived by his wife of 51 years, the former 
Betty Barclay; sons, Douglas, married to the former Dianne Ensing, Englewood, 
Colo.; and Bryan, married to the former Jenny Thomas, Aurora, Colo.; 
grandchildren, Brooke, Alex, Bradley and Casey Williams; and a brother, James, 
Kantner. A 1947 graduate of Stoystown High School and a Korean War Army Veteran. 
He was a retired painting contractor. Member of Kantner United Methodist Church, 
and life member of Robert P. Hite Post 257 American Legion, Stoystown. Family 
will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday at Deaner Funeral 
Home, Stoystown, where a service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday. The Rev. Don 
Kephart officiating. Interment Lambertsville Cemetery. A legion service will be 
held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
