  James A. Willkow, 52, Pitt Street, Bedford, died of a sudden heart attack Aug.
  16, 2005 at UPMC Bedford Memorial, Snake Spring Township. Mr. Willkow was born
  in Meyersdale on Sept. 14, 1952, a son of the late Richard Eugene and Helen
  Grace (Landis) Willkow. He is survived by his wife, Pamela  Benton-Willkow,
  whom he married on June 17, 2000. In addition to his wife, he is survived by
  daughters, Marnie L. Presto, Somerset; Roslyn M. Willkow, Somerset; step son,
  Tyler Benton, at home; brothers, Ken and wife, Patty Willkow, Garrett; Dave
  Willkow and friend Sharon (Knopsnyder), Somerset; sisters, Marilyn, wife of Tim
  Archibald, Harrisburg; Carolyn, wife of  Bill Lambert, Friedens. He was a
  supervisor at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Cessna and was a former Rural
  Carrier for US Postal Service.  He was affiliated with Bedford Presbyterian
  Church, Bedford. James is a graduate of Shanksville-Stoneycreek High School
  class of 1970, and received a bachelor's degree in health and physical
  education from Slippery Rock University. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed
  playing basketball, loved nature, animals, and being outdoors.  James was a
  cancer survivor and volunteer for the American Cancer Society, and other
  community organizations.  He was a loving father, husband, and friend to many.
  Friends are invited to call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at
  Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, where a service will be held 11 a.m.
  Friday. The Rev. Doug Friant officiating. Interment at Bedford County Memorial
