Willkow, 72, of Meyersdale RD 3, died Sept. 17, 1993, at Conemaugh Hospital, Johnstown. Born March 9, 1921, in Meyersdale. Son of the late Henry and Mary (Baer) Willkow. Survived by special friend, Kathryn W. Foy; and these children: Kenneth R., James A., both of Berlin; David L. of Somerset; Marilyn, wife of Timothy Archibald, of Harrisburg; Carolyn, wife of William Lambert, of Woodbridge, Va.; and ten grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters: Mary Louise O'Brien of Philadelphia; and Shirley Willkow of Watsontown. Preceded in death by two brothers: Henry and twin brother Clarence. Member of Meyersdale Lodge 554 F&AM, where he served as past master in 1959 and 1963, and had been a trustee for 20 years. He was treasurer of the Meyersdale Masonic Temple Association. Member of Hebron Royal Arch Chapter 272, Cambrian Council No. 32 Royal and Selected Masters, and Oriental Commandery No. 61 (Knights Templar) and Conemaugh Gap York Rite College No. 34, all based in Johnstown. Gold Honor Award in recognition of outstanding service in York Rite Masonry in 1971 by the Sovereign York Rite College of North America. Received Laurel Ridge Council No. 67 Allied Masonic degree. Past president of the Somerset County Shrine Club. Member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Altoona; Jaffa Temple, AAONMS; Ye, Antiente Order of Corks; Masonic Order of the Bath Grand College of Rites of the USA Knight of the Red Branch ERI, the Philalethes Society; Grand Cross of Color of Distinguished Service Rendered to the Order Rainbow for Girls. Served on the advisory board of the Somerset Chapter for DeMolay. Member of Grand Commander's Club Knight Templars Eye Foundation. Member of Berlin VFD for 50 years and was life member, past president and past secretary. Life member and past president of Somerset County Firemen's Association. Life member and past vice president of Firemen's Association State of Pa. Past president men's Association. Life member and past vice president of Firemen's Association State of Pa. Past president and past vice president of Shanksville School Board. Past president of Somerset County VoTech School. Member of the Pa. School Board Association. Served as Stonycreek Township auditor. Past vice president of the board of trustees at the Meyersdale Community Hospital. Life member of Penn State Alumni Association and Nittany Lions Club. Volunteer coordinator for RSVP 55 Alive Driver's program. Volunteer of the Pa. Maple Festival. Former member of Trinity UCC, Berlin, where he served as deacon and elder. Past president of the church council for Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Meyersdale. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Leckemby Funeral Home, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday with Pastor Lloyd T. Wilson and William H.
