Wills, 86, of Stepping Stones Road, Somerset, died Jan. 5, 1997, in Windber Hospital. He was a resident of Meadow View Nursing Home, Berlin. Born Feb. 11, 1910, in Brothersvalley Township. Son of the late Weldon and Estella (Ringler) Will [sic?]. Preceded in death by wife, Goldie Hoffman Wills; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Hoffman; sister, Marion Brant; brothers, Cloyd and Arthur Wills, sister-in-law, Maude Wills; niece, Shirley Wills Zimmerman, and brother-in-law, Paul Brant. Survived by daughter, Ruby, and her husband, Niel R. Miller, Somerset; sister-in-law, Gladys Wills (Mrs. Cloyd), Somerset; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Owned and operated his own farms in Somerset area for many years. Manager of Carbon Hall Farms, Samos, Va., 1940s; Maple Ridge Farms, Somerset, 1950s and 1960s; Peter Pan Farms, Hickory, Pa., Farmers Delight Dairy Farms, Leechburg, Pa., Carlsburg Brewery Horse Farms, Schaumburg, Canada, and retired from DeVilbiss Healthcare, Somerset. A charter member of Somerset County Horse and Mule Association. Somerset County Saddle Horse Assn., Tri County Horse and Mule Assoc., Meyersdale Fair Board, Appalachian Wagon Train. Belgian Draft Horse Assoc. Member of Somerset Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1801. His life was devoted to the love of horses and all horse events. Member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Lavansville. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (today) in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Pastor James Meyers officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
