All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ ALFRED WILMOTH Alfred Wilmoth, 53, a member of one of Somerset County's most prominent families, died suddenly at 8:30 o'clock Tuesday night, at his home on Olinger Street. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Wilmoth was a son of Henry and Jennie (Hasselroth) Wilmoth and was born in Somerset County on January 25, 1887. His father preceded him in death. Mr. Wilmoth was engaged in business in the state of Texas for a number of years. Later he operated a farm near Meyersdale. About a year ago he moved to Meyersdale. Surviving are his mother, his wife, Mrs. Alice (Webreck) Wilmoth, and these children: Henry J. Wilmoth, a member of the U.S. Navy, now stationed in Honolulu; Miss Anna Mary Wilmoth, a student nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital, Pittsburgh, and Alfred Wilmoth Jr., at home. He was a brother of Mrs. C. C. Cook, Meyersdale; Mrs. Ralph Quilman, Norristown; Mrs. Harry Baldwin and Miss Mary Wilmoth, both of Meyersdale; Miss Gretchen Wilmoth, Washington, D.C., and Barney Wilmoth, Glen Campbell. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Wilmoth home, Olinger Street, by Rev. Nelson C. Brown, pastor of the Amity Evangelical and Reformed Church. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, Meyersdale mortician. Mr. Wilmoth was a member of Coahoma Lodge, A.F. & A.M., of Coahoma, Texas.
