He was born in Eglon, WV, Jan. 27, 1933, the son of Mildred (Harsh) Wilt, Eglon, WV, and the late Lester Wilt. He was a farmer and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren in Eglon, WV. Besides his mother, he is survived by his widow, Carolyn (Fike) Wilt; two sons, Alan Parker Wilt and Brian Earl Wilt, both of Eglon, WV, one daughter, Cynthia Ann Bathtel, Horse Shoe Run, MD; two brothers, Bernard Wilt, Grantsville, MD; David Wilt, Brunswick, Ohio; two sisters, Dorothy Spaid, Aurora, OH; Thelma Simpson, Martins Ferry, Ohio; and four grandchildren. Friends were received at the Hinkle Funeral Home, Davis, where services were conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Earl McCombs.
