All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ HENRY WILSON Henry Wilson, aged 71, a native of Scotland, but who came with his parents to America when only a child, died Friday, March 8, 1940, at 3:20 a.m., in one of the hospitals in Detroit, Mich., where he had resided and worked in the automobile industry for a number of years after leaving Lonaconing, Md., where they located after arriving here from Scotland, and where they were engaged in coal mining. He was united in marriage with Mary Percy, a native of Lonaconing, Md., who, with a son, Forrest Wilson, and an adopted daughter, all of Detroit, survive. Three sons died in close succession several years ago. Of a family of 15 brothers and sisters, only three survive - Mrs. Janet Hanson, of Lewistown, Montana; John Wilson, of Detroit, and Councilman James L. Wilson, of Meyersdale. The latter was notified of his brother's death and left immediately Saturday morning on the Detroit Special over the B. & O., to attend the funeral, which was held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, returning home this (Thursday) morning.
