He was born April 9, 1913 in Confluence, son of Robert William Wilson and Rachael Reckner Wilson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lena G. Elkin Wilson in 1991; a son, James Wilson, in 1955; brothers, Charles, Worley, Ray and Ralph Wilson; and sisters, Olive, Lena, Mae, Maude and Florence. He is survived by two daughters, Jean Spiker of Uniontown and Joyce Humberston and her husband, Paul, of Markleysburg; six grandchildren: Roxanne Spiker Collins of Ohiopyle; Yvonne Spiker Carolla of Farmington; Kelly Spiker Griglack of Uniontown; Lori Humberston Sibula, Jeffrey Humberston and James Humberston all of Markleysburg; five great-grandchildren and two sisters: Sadie Wilson of Indiana; and Eleanor Landman of Mount Independent. He was a retired operating engineer of Local No. 66 in Pittsburgh. Friends will be received in the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Thomas Crogan officiating. Interment will follow in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Daily American, April 1, 1996 [W1450]
