Wilson, 92, of Kantner Avenue, Somerset, died May 8, 1979, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Nov. 9, 1886, in Frederick County, Maryland, a son of the late Rev. John and Laura (Schroyer) Wilson. Preceded in death by his first wife, Etta Burkhart; second wife, Florence Racey; a son, John A.; a daughter, Dorothy Mishler; five sisters; and a brother. Survived by a son, Edward A. of Somerset; a step-son, Maynard Morrison of Belair, Md.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. Brother of: Clyde of Monessen; John and the Rev. Edward, both of Johnstown. Honorary member of the Somerset Vol. Fire Dept. Mr. Wilson worked for 64 years for the former Varner Family Planing Mill which is now know as Pleasant Avenue Building Supply, retiring in 1971. Life-long member of the First United Methodist Church of Somerset. Friends are being received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Cox officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery. Daily American, May 10, 1979 [W1453]
