Born in Swanton, he was a son of the late Aden and Lola (Pritts) Wilt. He was a crane operator for the Luke Plant of Westvaco and a member of Luke Local 676, UPP. Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Ray; three daughters, Mrs. Stanley Tichell, Aliquippa; Mrs. David Gerald, Staceyville, Maine; and Miss Dora Wilt, at home; two grandsons; a brother, Michael Wilt, Swanton RD 2; and three sisters, Mrs. Luke Wilt, Swanton; Mrs. William Schaidt, Lonaconing; and Mrs. Donald MacDonald, Barton. Funeral service was held Friday afternoon in Boal Funeral Home, with Rev. Wesley George officiating. Interment in Potomac Valley Memorial Gardens in Keyser.
