Windle, 69, of Piedmont, WV; died Sunday, March 4, 1990, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland, MD. Born April 15, 1920, in Beryl, he was the son of the late Charles and Julia (Mitter) Tibbetts Windle. His wife, Evelyn E. (Dawson) Windle, preceded him in death in 1986. He retired as a crane operator from the Westvaco Luke Mill after 40 years of service. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Westernport, MD; Luke Local 676 UPIU and the Tri-Towns Area Senior Citizens. He was a navy veteran of World War II. Surviving are three sons: Terry W. Windle and James J. Windle, Westernport, MD; and Michael J. Windle, Bloomington; one daughter, Charlotte Ann McGowan, Midland, MD; one brother, James Tibbetts, Fairmont, WV; two sisters: Gladys Beeman Keyser, WV; and Mildred Miller, Grantsville, MD; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Boal-Warnick Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, where services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church by the Rev. Dana Spencer.
