Winner, 51, of 117 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, Md., was dead on arrival Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1986, at Frostburg Community Hospital. Born in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Emma C. (Robison) Winner. He was a self-employed coal truck driver for Winner Brothers Coal Company and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Surviving are his widow, Shirley (Wiland) Smith Winner; one son, Jerry Winner, Grantsville, Md.; two daughters: Melanie Winner, Frostburg; and Jill Winner, at home; two step sons: Michael Smith, Front Royal, Va.; and John Smith, Frostburg; two step daughters: Mrs. Carol McKenzie, Frostburg; and Delores Smith, Laurel, Md.; two sisters: Mrs Ruth Turner, Avilton, Md.; and Mrs. Mary Weitzell, Frostburg; two brothers: Albert Winner and Leonard Winner, both of Consol, Md.; and four grandchildren. Friends were received at the Sowers Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial were celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church Thursday at 9:30 a.m. by Msgr. John L. Reinsfelder. Interment, Frostburg Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Albert Lee Winner, Wayne Winner, Leonard Winner Jr., William Turner, Joseph Winner, Thomas Winner.
