  BESSIE K. WINTER
  
    Miss Bessie K. Winter, 74, of Salisbury, died September 23, 1983,
  in Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    She was born in Salisbury May 16, 1909, the daughter of the late
  James Winter and Lavina (Inks) Winter.
    She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury;
  the Salisbury Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Salisbury-Elk
  Lick Hospital Auxiliary.  She was a retired employee of Meyersdale
  Manufacturing Co. with 45 years of service.
    She is survived by a sister, Miss Jennie Winter, Salisbury; and a
  brother, Ray Winter, Levitttown.
    Services were conducted in the Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev.
  David Fetter officiating.  Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.
