Winterberg, 77, formerly of Cumberland, Md.; died June 13, 1980 in Anne Arundel General Hospital, Annapolis, Md. He had been residing with his son, the Rev. Ronald R. Winterberg, 120 Bayard Road, Lothian, Md. He was born Sept. 17, 1902, in Meyersdale, and was a son of the late Henry Winterberg and Minnie Winterberg. Twice married, he was preceded in death by both wives, Mrs. Nellie (Rowe) Winterberg and Mrs. Bessie Henry Winterberg. He was retired from the quality control division of The Kelly-Springfield Tire Company and was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church. Surviving, besides the Rev. Mr. Winterberg, are a daughter, Mrs. Wilda W. Jeffries, Cresaptown; a stepdaughter, Mrs. June Ross, Cumberland; two stepsons Kenneth Henry, Cumberland; Warner Henry, California; a grandchild and 10 step-grandchildren. Friends were received at the George Funeral Home. The family requests memorials take the form of donations to Kingsley United Methodist Church. The Republic, June 19, 1980 [W1546]
