Winters, 86, Somerset, died Feb. 14, 2005, at Somerset Hospital. Born May 23, 1918, in Jenner Township, son of Russell and Edna (Figge) Winters. Preceded in death by parents and first wife, the former Margaret C. Lepter; brothers, Lester, who passed away Feb. 13, 2005, Paul and Homer; infant sister, Dorothy and sisters, Mabel and Margaret. He was the loving husband of Audrey to whom he was married to for 38 years. He is also survived by sons, Jack, married to the former Carol Traup, Davidsville; Larry, married to the former Vicki Zablotney Klink, Atlanta, Ga.; and Roger, married to the former Katie Narad Klink, Blue Ridge Summit; grandchildren who knew him as Pop: Erika, Bethany and Jaclyn Winters; Brian and wife, Rachael; Douglas and wife, Lisa; Mark and wife, Sara; and Bradley Klink; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Alyson and Emily. Brother of Alice Leventry, Johnstown. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Somerset. He is a World War II Army veteran, serving in Hawaii and the Marshall Islands. Upon returning from the war, he was employed by Bethlehem Wire Mill for 35 years. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed other outdoor activities. His biggest joy was spending time with his family whom he was very devoted. No viewing or receiving friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Somerset. The Rev. Pat Nelson officiating.
