Born Oct. 18, 1912, in Jenner Township. Son of Russell Burl and Edna Elizabeth (Figge) Winters. Preceded in death by parents, wife, the former Edna Mae Baer, who died May 18, 1991, brother, Paul Winters and 2 sisters Dorothy Winters and Mabel Miller-Hauser. Survived by children: Donald E. Winters, married to the former Joanne Prines of Alexander, Va.; Edward R. Winters and wife, Kathy Campbell of White Plains, Md.; Mrs. John C. (Sara M. "Sally") Barndt of Somerset; and grandchildren, Robert and Kathryn Winters and Corey and Nathan Barndt. Brother of Lester Winters and Mrs. Curtis (Alice) Leventry, both of Johnstown, Earl Winters of Somerset, and Mrs. Margaret Cameron of Hooversville. Member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church of Boswell, and the Boswell American Legion. Retired in 1976 as a machinist from the Bar, Rod and Wire division of Bethlehem Steel Corp. Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where services will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Robert L.
