  WINTERS
  
  Russell B. Winters, 86, of Boswell RD 2, died Feb. 17, 1973, in
  Somerset Community Hospital.  He was born Sept. 14, 1886, in Jenner
  Township, the son of the late Isaac and Rebecca Griffith Winters.  He
  was also preceded in death by his wife, the former Edna Figge, who
  died in 1943; a daughter Dorothy; a half-brother Robert
  Gindlesperger; and a half-sister Mary Mack.  He is survived by
  children, Homer, married to the former Edna Baer, of Boswell; Mabel,
  wife of Walter Miller of Hooversville RD 1; Lester, married to the
  former Anna Cable, and Alice, wife of Curtis Leventry, both of
  Johnstown; Earl, married to the former Audrey Bassett, of Somerset;
  Paul, married to the former Sylvia Justice, of Downington; and
  Margaret, wife of James Cameron, of Boswell RD 2; 21 grandchildren;
  12 great-grandchildren.  He was a half-brother of the Rev. Earl
  Gindlesperger of Suffolk, Va.; Mrs. Annie Shaffer of Boswell RD 1;
  Edna Sowerbrower of Hollsopple RD 1; and Mrs. Edith Yoder of
  Hollsopple RD 2.  He was a retired Jenner Township farmer and member
  of the Jenner Township Baptist Church.  Friends were received Sunday
  evening and will be received from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today in the
  Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where
  service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. H. G. Hoffman. 
  Interment in Jenner Township Baptist Cemetery.
