Born June 2, 1919, in Shade Township, daughter of Doil and Ollie (Wagner) Berkebile. Preceded in death by parents, husband Fred, brothers: Guy, Mervin, and Lester Berkebile, and sister; Beulah Lohr. Survived by these children: Jane married to Jack Metzgar; JoAnn married to Ronald Eutin; Jackie married to Terry Struky; and Jeannie married to Jim Torrence, all of Stoystown; Nancy Joyce married to Robert Hoover of Indian Lake; and Joseph married to the former Michelle Custer of Ephrata. 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law: Dorothy Fulton of Friedens. Former cafeteria worker at the former Forbes High School. Member of Kantner United Methodist Church, Stoystown Lioness Club, Forbes Area, and Shanksville Silver and Gold Senior Citizens. Longtime volunteer for Somerset Co. Meals on Wheels, and former Quemahoning Township. Judge of Elections. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (today) at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Jason McQueen. Interment, Lambertsville Cemetery. Lioness memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be given to Somerset County Meals on Wheels, or Kantner U.M. Church Building Fund.
