  Helen Mae Wirick, 77, Somerset, formerly of Jeannette, died June 13,
  2002, at Somerset Patriot Manor.  Born July 2, 1924 in Johnstown, a
  daughter of George Andrew and Mabel B. (Stewart) Meck.  Preceded in
  death by parents; husband Raymond Chappell Wirick Sr., who died Jan.
  10, 1995; two sisters, Ethel Shaffer and Carolyn Seesholtz; and four
  brothers, Charles, Earl, George and Howard Meck.  Survived by
  children, Mrs. David A. (Beverly) Penrod, Boswell, and Raymond C.
  Wirick Jr., married to the former Donna Florence of Manassas Va.;
  grandchildren, Ms. Cory Knorr of Boswell, Mrs. Ben (Wendy) Straka of
  Washington, Brian Wirick of Manassas, Va., Heather Wirick of
  Manassas, Va., and Jeri Penrod of Columbus, Ohio; and
  great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Alexandria Knorr, Bradley Straka
  and Brian Wirick Jr.  Sister of Mrs. Ruth Hampton of Downey, Calif. 
  Member of Grace United Methodist Church.  A 1942 graduate of
  Beaverdale Summerhill High School.  A 1943 graduate of Cambria Rowe
  Business School.  Member and past president of Lioness Club of
  Jeannette.  She was a volunteer for Somerset "In Touch" Hospice. 
  Former inventory clerk for Matt's Furniture in Jeannette.  Friends
  received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral
  Home, Somerset.  Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, at
  Grace United Methodist Church.  Rev. Charles F. Olson officiating. 
  There will be viewing at the church for one hour prior to the
  service.  Contributions may be made to "In Touch" Hospice, 1590 North
  Center Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
