He was born July 8, 1934 in Harnedsville, a son of the late Franklin E. and Ella F. (Colflesh) Wirsing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Walters, a brother Eston Wirsing and a sister Louise Koontz. Survived by his wife Evelyn (Sanner) Wirsing and daughters, Patricia R. Younkin of Virginia Beach, Va., Dawn R. Walters of Confluence, Susan R. Deal of Salisbury; a granddaughter, Chelsea Younkin; and step-grandson James Walters; sisters Helen Wirsing, Uniontown, Ruth Shope, Hopwood, Geraldine Schrechengost, Pittsburgh, Sara Spear and Shirley Graham, both of Addison, Mary Lou Morrison of Confluence; and a brother Theodore of Greensburg. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Somerset County Job Service after 30 years employment. He also liked to farm. Member of the Ursina American Legion Post 946 and the Harnedsville United Methodist Church. He was president of Younkin Cemetery Association, a trustee of the Crossroads Cemetery and a graduated of Confluence High School class of 1953. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev.
