He was born in Meyersdale, July 14, 1864, and when a young man located in Thayer County, Nebraska. There he met and later married Miss Emma Schimpf, whom he married on Thanksgiving Day, 1889. They were the parents of four daughters and three sons, who survive, as do also one sister, Mrs. James Shilling of Lincoln, Neb., several half-brothers and a sister in Somerset County, Pa., 17 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Mrs. Wisler died Nov. 25, 1935, at Oxford, Neb., where they had been living since 1906. After her death, Mr. Wisler made his home with his children; but a little more than four years ago he suffered a paralytic stroke and spent 7 1/2 months in the Oxford Hospital. He never recovered fully, and during the last two years lived at a convalescent home in Holdredge, Neb., where he died suddenly, Aug. 25, 1943. He was a patient sufferer, and an honored and respected citizen. Meyersdale Republican, September 16, 1943
