Wisner, 89, New Florence RD 1, died April 8, 1984, at his residence. He was born May 23, 1894, in Fairfield Township, son of late Henry and Cora (Johns) Wisner. He was preceded in death by wife, former Mary Jane Garland, who died in 1941; son, John; and three grandchildren. He is survived by these children: Eleanor Close, Latrobe; Alice Metzler and Mary Fisher, both of Johnstown; Raymond, and Geraldine Boring, both of Robinson; Ruth Bier and Paul, both of Ligonier RD 1; Robert Sr., New Florence; and Cloyd, Confluence; also 31 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. He was the sister of Josephine Rodgers, New Castle; Eleanor Kuntz, Ellwood City; Katherine Slocum, New Florence RD 1; and Margaret Dean, Latrobe. He was a World War I Army veteran; member of ByersTosh Post 267, American Legion, Ligonier; Bolivar Post 128, American Legion; and attended Hillsview Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. Friends were received at Wolford-McCracken Funeral Home, Inc., 144 East Main St., Ligonier, where services were held with the Rev. Larry C. McDonnell. Interment, Fort Palmer Cemetery.
