Wissinger, 68, Somerset RD 1, died Feb. 19, 1994, at the Windber Hospice, Windber. Born Sept. 25, 1925, in Wyano, Westmoreland County, the daughter of the late James Garfield and Elizabeth Myrtle (Burns) Byers. Survived by husband, Raymond Wissinger; 2 daughters, Cassandra Sadler, York, and Mrs. Charles (Cathy) Laughman, Emigsville; 2 stepdaughters, Mrs. Linda Stokes and Peggy Wissinger, both of Somerset; 4 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, James H. Byers, Somerset RD 7; sister, Mrs. Richard (Betty) McKelvey, Ligonier. Retired employee of Green Garden Inc. of Somerset. Retired in 1990 with 31 years of service. 1943 graduate of Ligonier High School. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset. Chairwoman of the Altar Guild for five years. Also member of auxiliary American Legion Post 181. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Robert L. Hoover Jr. officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, Pa. 15963.
