  Mrs. Edith Witt, 70, of Stoystown died Jan. 16, 1973, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  She was born July 9, 1902, in Quemahoning
  Township the daughter of Henry and Martha Brubaker Shaffer.  She was
  preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence Witt Sr., seven
  brothers and four sisters.  She is survived by son Clarence Jr. of
  Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  She
  was a sister of Walter Shaffer of Somerset; Mrs. Ada Fulton and Ira,
  both of Stoystown; Mrs. Verda Lohr of Johnstown; Cloyd of
  Hooversville RD 1.  She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of
  Stoystown.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today
  in the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where services will
  be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Herbert G. Hohman. 
  Interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.
