Born in Meyersdale, she had been an Akron resident since 1944. Preceded in death by her husband Eldon Shoemaker Witt; parents John Milton and Emma Gnagey; and brother Lt. Col. John M. Gnagey Jr. She is survived by her son Ronn (Jean) Witt of Avon, Ohio; grandchildren Adam (Kerstin) Witt, Ian Witt and Ryan Witt. She was a graduate of Juniata College. Elizabeth taught English at Thornton Jr. High School and was a member of Emmanuel U.C.C. in Akron where she was the organist for more than 20 years. She also enjoyed reading and playing bridge. Private family funeral service will be held Saturday at Silva Funeral Home-Rose Hill Chapel. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may gather for a reception on Sat. at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel U.C.C., 1480 Eastwood Ave., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elizabeth G.
