He was born Sept. 28, 1889, and was aged 54 years, 2 days. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Addie Saylor Witt, and the following children: Mrs. Lloyd Firl, Summit Mills; Pvt. Victor B. Witt, stationed at Fort Belvoir, Va.; Pvt. Herbert W. Witt, somewhere in England; and Miss Ruth Witt at home. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Jane Firl, and by his father, Edward Witt, of Waterloo, Iowa. His mother, Lydia Engle Witt, passed away two years ago. Mr. Witt was a member of St. Paul Reformed Church. Funeral services were held at the home on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with Rev. K. A. Ashman officiating. He was buried in the Lichty Cemetery, with funeral arrangements in charge of H. R. Konhaus, Meyersdale mortician. Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. William Miller, Mrs. Eva Snyder and Bernice Robertson, of Akron, O.; Mrs. Clarence Miller and daughter, Homestead, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. George Maust and son Dean, Mrs. Carrie Weller and Albert Saylor and daughter Helen, Somerset.
