Preceded in death by wife, Marzee (Saylor) Witt in 1998. Survived by a brother, Herbert Witt and sister, Ruth (Witt) McKenzie. Retired carpenter and a member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. Was a veteran of World War II. At his request, there is no viewing and no service. Mr. Witt wanted to be remembered as "the man on the porch."
