  RICHARD F. WITTE
  
    Richard F. Witte, 79, Eckhart, Md. was dead on arrival Sunday, Aug.
  24, 1986, at Frostburg Community Hospital, Md.
    Born in Mount Savage, Md., he was a son of the late Benjamin F. and
  Julia (Davison) Witte.  His wife, Mary (Ward) Witte, died April 24,
  1985.
    He was a retired employee of the Kaiser Refractories.  He was an
  Army veteran of World War II and was a member of St. Michael's
  Catholic Church and Farrady Post 24, American Legion.
    Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Schumaker, Baltimore, Md.;
  and Mrs. Gertrude Robertson, Accident, Md.; and one brother, Joseph
  Witte, Wellersburg.
    Friends were received at the Sowers Funeral Home. 
    A Christian wake service was held Tuesday at 8 p.m. 
    Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at
  St. Michael's Church by Msgr. John L. Reinsfelder.
    Interment, Frostburg Memorial Park.
