Born Nov. 11, 1898, in Czechoslovakia, daughter of John and Anna (Hura) Ondeyka. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Joseph, who died April 1, 1981; two sons, S./Sgt. Joseph, killed in action Jan. 10, 1945, during World War II; and Michael, who died Sept. 23, 1970. Survived by two children: Mary, wife of John Stankan, Bedford RD 3; and John, married to former Julia Wanko, Hagerstown, Md.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Jerome; church altar society; and auxiliaries to Jerome Volunteer Fire Department and Post 802, American Legion, Jerome. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and until 9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
