Wolf, 96, of Rockwood died March 11, 1998. Born Aug. 5, 1901, in Rockwood. Daughter of the late Levi M. and Jennie (Miller) Wolf. Preceded in death by her sister, Mary June (Wolf) Outten. Survived by her nephew, Dr. Joseph Fendall Outten Jr., 3 great-nephews and one great-niece. She was a 1924 graduate of Wellesley College, which she loved and supported for many years. Mrs. Wolf was a writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer for many years until her return to Rockwood. She retired from the Pa. Department of Public Welfare. She established and for many years operated the Rockwood Public Library. She was active in the American Red Cross, Rockwood Women's Club and many other charitable and civic organizations. She established the Miller-Wolf Scholarship Fund at the Rockwood Area High School and was a Pa. State Tree Farmer of the Year. A member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Rockwood, where friends will be received for a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Ardelle Mason will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Rockwood Public Library or to St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Arrangements under the direction of the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood.
